YES, JESUS LOVES US
Yes, Jesus loves me, yes, Jesus loves me, yes, Jesus loves me, the Bible tells me so. I truly love the words of that familiar song. I love its message. I love the reality of those words. They make me feel really good inside. They help me in the darkest hours of my life. They cause my heart to rejoice when others oppress me. To know that He accepts me despite the color of my skin, my place of residence, my nationality, and my inabilities and failures in life is medicine for my soul. His love is the healing ointment for lifes cuts and bruises. It is the beacon of light streaming its way to a man drowning in sin. It is the message of hope wafting its way to the heart of a woman burdened by guilt. It is the source of strength to a mom and dad who anguish in the death of their son. It is the explanation for our existence. It is the origin of our esteem and our reason for living. It is a fortress within earths trembling upheavals. It is the treasure within to a wife scarred by an unfaithful husband. It fills the void for the son who has yet to hear I love you from his fathers lips. Jesus love mends the broken-hearted. It brings meaning to those who are confused. It erects bridges where there is separation. It unites when there is division. It conquers when evil oppresses. It motivates when there is apathy. It cheers when hearts are sad. It sings when there is travail. It blossoms when there is desert. It brightens where there is night. It awakens where there is sleep. It makes wealthy the impoverished soul. It saves when embraced and received. His love is overwhelmingly lofty, sublime, and powerful. It reminds me of another well known refrain: I stand amazed in the presence of Jesus the Nazarene, and wonder how He could love me a sinner, condemned, unclean
Oh how marvelous, oh how wonderful is my Saviors love for me. Yes, Jesus loves me, and oh, how I love Jesus.
